Just a little step.
For myself personally - the hardest part is starting. Any pressure I feel to take that leap of faith (or in my instance - a tiny little geisha step) can leave me feeling more stuck than I felt before. (Could I have even moved backwards? How!?) The anxiety that in all the moments I spent thinking I should start, I could have began, learnt, fallen, raised, failed, succeeded and maybe even finished something. But yet, that step is truly the most difficult of them all.
The journey towards anything in life IS the process. That simple step forward can feel the hardest as it’s the first moment you accept this process into your life. Once you allow this movement in, the anxiety settles and the excitement begins. It’s all just growth from here!
Beginners (including myself) always underestimate themselves. But as soon as you decide to confront a problem with curiosity, love and without judgement, you’ll realise you have always been more capable that you ever imagined.
By taking that step forward - even a little geisha step, your journey has begun. Discover and appreciate your flaws, use your experience to practice, learn and improve. Breathe and take a step.
